Cruella de Vil is back, and this time she's making her debut in the form of a striking (and unbelievably gorgeous) afternoon tea. Yep! The Lanesborough Hotel in London is celebrating the highly-anticipated release of Disney's Cruella with an afternoon tea dedicated entirely to the villainess. And let's just say, it's everything you could imagine and more...

Inspired by Cruella's signature fashion-forward wickedness, there's a variety of incredible sweet and savoury plates that pay tribute to her character.

We're talking everything from 'Runway Diva' Treacle Tartlets to 'Totally Unexpected' Choux Buns, and 'Rebel Heart' Raspberry Mousses to 'Anarchy Reigns' Shortbread. The menu really is exceptional!

To begin with, you'll start with a round of traditional finger sandwiches (Egg & Cress Mayonnaise, Smoked Salmon, Cream Cheese & Dill, Mint Yoghurt & Cucumber and Coronation Chicken), alongside a Prawn & Lobster Tartlet.

Once you're done with the savoury plates, you'll start admiring the beautifully decorated cakes and pastries which go something like this...

  • Runway Diva, a treacle tartlet complete with whipped dulcey ganache and garnished with red lips.

  • Fashion Makes Art Makes Fashion, a chocolate and raspberry Battenberg cake with cranberry jam.

  • Totally Unexpected, a red choux bun packed caramelised banana and pecan nut crema.

  • Rebel Heart, a fragmented black heart with white chocolate feuilletine base, yoghurt raspberry mousse and liquid hibiscus centre.

  • Modern Masterpiece, an inside-out lemon cheesecake with blueberry compote and a blackcurrant and violet injection.

  • Anarchy Reigns, a duo of millionaire's shortbread presented on a mini easel.

  • 'Out With The Old, In With The Unexpected, chocolate chip and dried raspberry scones.

And if you're feeling extra-fancy, you can even opt for The Lanesborough's Scene Stealer cocktail (or a glass or two of Champagne).

Mixing traditional patisserie with a 1960s punk aesthetic, Head Pastry Chef, Kevin Miller, has gone above and beyond with The Lanesborough's latest afternoon tea instalment. And TBH, we can't get enough of it.

Hosted in the hotel's Michelin-starred restaurant, C茅leste, The Lanesborough's "It's A Little Bit Mad" Afternoon Tea is available now until 4 August 2021. Prices start from 拢55.
