Lana Del Rey's hair has had a willlld ride throughout 2020.
To cut a long story short, the main pointers you need to be aware of are that firstly, she coloured her hair with lemons back in May out of sheer desperation (not recommended, please don't do it, you will burn your scalp, also it's basically winter anyway, etc, etc).
Anyway, she then, er, corrected her lengths to a gorgeous champagne blonde colour once hairdressers were back in action.
Then, ahead of new album Chemtrails over the Country Club, Lana's seventh studio album, she later opted for a serious throwback in the form of an ultra-natural wartime mane.
And now, Lana has moved onto lacquer, volume and victory rolls as she nudges her aesthetic closer to the 1950s/60s. At a poetry reading, Lana live streamed to fans, and showed off her new style, with what looks like even lighter lengths (is she on her way to platinum? Who can tell.) and incredible sculpted pin-curls.
Lana's hair is likely a bit damaged by lemongate and the further lightening that went on with her new highlights, but any split ends or dullness is brilliantly masked in this hairstyle, which is all about sculpting the shape of the hair and spraying it in place, rather than focussing overly on shine or movement. Very wise, LDR. Very wise indeed.
However, many fans were a little distracted by her choice of face mask in the reading and livestream. Long story short, she opted for a mesh-crystal situation with less pandemic fighting power than a communal Chupa Chup. Luckily, in a later video Lana wore a proper mask (sans fishnet vibes), demonstrating a little more awareness to her fans.
Anyone else getting flashbacks to dressing up as a 'Generic Pink Lady' for middle school costume parties? Just me? Ok then.
