Lady Victoria Starmer: Who is Sir Keir Starmer’s wife?

Married since 2007, the couple were wed a year before Sir Keir became head of the Crown Prosecution Service, eight years before Keir Starmer became an MP, and 13 years before he became Labour leader.

The couple met several years previously, sometime in the early 2000s, in the course of their work as lawyers, when Victoria drafted documents for a case Starmer was working on during his time as a barrister at Doughty Street chambers.

On their first date, Sir Keir took his future wife to the Lord Stanley pub, in Camden.

Today, although the couple are private about their lives, they are known to have two children together, teenager Toby and a younger daughter. The family lives in a £1.75 million Camden townhouse in Starmer’s Holborn and St Pancras constituency.

Who is Lady Victoria Starmer?

Lady Starmer grew up in Gospel Oak, North London, where her mother was a community doctor.

Like her future husband, Victoria went into a career as a solicitor, after which she served as a governor at her children’s school. Now, she works in occupational health for the NHS.

Lady Victoria is Jewish and, together with her husband, is known to be raising her two children according to her faith.

Unlike her husband, Lady Victoria is not public with her political views, seeming to prefer to stay out of the limelight.

She made her first public appearance at Labour’s 2021 party conference in Brighton, when she accompanied her husband off the stage following his first full conference speech as party leader.
