Lady Amelia Windsor proves she’s the most fashion-conscious royal with new sustainable shoe collaboration

Lady Amelia Windsor is a pioneer of ethical fashion. Alongside working with sustainable fashion organisations like Fashion Round Table, she constantly advocates for independent clothing labels on her Instagram (and lots at a reasonable price. This sustainable co-ord she wore is less than £100).

She’s often dubbed ‘the most beautiful royal’, but Prince Harry and Prince William’s cousin also makes a strong case for the crown of the most fashion-conscious too, as the socialite has now curated the ultimate ballet shoe collection with Menorcan brand Pretty Ballerinas.

The 27-year-old uploaded an Instagram post sporting a 60s-inspired monochrome ensemble, wearing a black and white pair from the stunning collection. The caption read: “Very excited and grateful to announce I have collaborated with @prettyballerinas on a fun, joyful and colourful collection.”

Amelia’s shoes set the tone for the ‘fun’ designs we expect to see in the collaboration. She wore a pair of white slip-ons adorned with black love-heart and lips, with a thin black bow across the front. As sweet as they are chic.

She is an ambassador for the organisation ‘No More Plastic’ so it’s no surprise her collection is completely sustainable. She continues: “ Each pair has been thoughtfully designed using recycled garments for the canvas, recycled rubber for the soles and digitally printed designs. The collection was made in Menorca where @prettyballerinas have been making shoes since 1918." Though the collection was made overseas, Pretty Ballerinas have physical stores across the world, including one in Mayfair.

The reemergence of the ballet flat in 2022 (notably Miu Miu of course) means purchasing a pair from Amelia’s collaboration will keep you bang on-trend and doing so with the planet in mind. What’s more, Amelia confirmed that “a donation of sales from each purchase will be going to the amazing charity @warchilduk”.

The collection launches online and instore on February 15 and excited is an understatement.
