In particular, there were a couple of fancy-pants biscuit tea sets that really blew our minds.
We loved Marc’s tea and toast with its brightly coloured tea cup and toast rack. We also love Linda’s delicate Amsterdam high tea set.
Although, I’m not sure the ‘high’ tea she had in The ‘Dam is the same as the ‘high’ teas other tourists get stuck into. But the less said about that the better…
We were particularly taken with the adorable lacy cake stand she included in her sculpture.
Sura also incorporated a lace-effect into her Ramadan tea set.
If you want to have a go at making lace-printed biscuits at home yourself, you’ll want to get your hands on a couple of specific bits of kit.
Firstly, a cookie stamp with your preferred pattern is a great way of getting a sweet print on your biscuits. Cookie stamps come with all sorts of patterns or designs on, but we’ve found these ones, which will give you the desired lace effect.
All you have to do is simply stamp your biscuits before they go in the oven, and they come out looking like something from Downton Abbey. That’s what you were going for, right?
Another great bit of kit for getting a lace pattern all over your biscuits or even the icing of a cake is a patterned roller like this one.
The satisfaction you’ll get from using one of these will blow your mind.
