Thank goodness for Kylie Minogue. Not only is she giving us all a much-needed boost by releasing a brand new album, but she's also performing part of it for us on Zoe Ball's Radio 2 Breakfast show this Friday (6 November).

The one-off show was announced on Monday (2 November), with Kylie also revealing that she'll be surprising listeners with something special.

To mark the release of her 15th album, DISCO, Zoe will play four exclusive Kylie songs on her show on Friday – two of which will be singles from the album, 'Say Something' and 'Magic' – as well as two surprises that we're really looking forward to.

Kylie’s going to perform a classic from her back catalogue and, in the spirit of fun and joy, she’s also going to do a disco cover she’s never ever done before.

Kylie recorded her mini-gig at the BBC Radio Theatre in Broadcasting House, and will join Zoe on the phone to discuss her latest work. Excitingly, the performance was filmed so fans will be available to watch on the BBC Music YouTube channel.

DISCO is Kylie’s first new album since 2018’s Golden, which reached Number 1 in the UK and Australia – and most definitely feels like the little lift we all need right now.

To cheer Kylie fans up even more, as a part of BBC Radio 2’s In Concert 50 celebrations on 15 November, another iconic Minogue performance is being broadcast on the station.

Recorded at BBC’s Maida Vale studios in 2014, it's currently available on BBC Sounds and BBC iPlayer. The set featured all of Kylie's big hits, including 'Wow', 'Spinning Around', 'Can’t Get You Out Of My Head', 'The Locomotion' and more – everything you need for a sing and dance around your kitchen.
