At the beginning of the week, Kylie Jenner deleted all pictures of baby Stormi from her Instagram.
The 20 year old explained her decision to take the four month old out of the spotlight after a fan called her out for cutting Stormi out of a picture she uploaded on Sunday night.
Kylie shared a selfie with baby Stormi cropped out, though the corner of her face could be seen.
She captioned the shot, "I spy with my little eye..."
When a fan commented, "She cut her baby out," Kylie responded, "Yeah I cut my baby out. I'm not sharing photos of my girl right now."
Kylie then deleted every image of Stormi that show her face from her Instagram account.
And now we know why, and it's actually really sad.
An insider told People that Kylie made the decision because of the "nasty" comments she was seeing on pictures of her daughter.
“Kylie felt so protective of her baby when she was pregnant. This is why she didn’t share any bump pictures while she was pregnant. After Stormi was born, Kylie was the proudest mum.
“She couldn’t wait to show off Stormi to her fans. She posted pictures, because she was so excited to be a mum. Unfortunately, social media is a crazy place. People have been making nasty comments.
The source added: "Kylie is shocked and doesn’t want her daughter’s pictures to be a part of something negative. She might reconsider in the future, but for now, she won’t post any more photos of Stormi’s face.”
The makeup guru did indeed keep her pregnancy under wraps, before releasing a YouTube video documenting those nine months at the beginning of February.
She said at the time, "I understand you’re used to me bringing you along on all my journeys. my pregnancy was one I chose not to do in front of the world.
"I knew for myself i needed to prepare for this role of a lifetime in the most positive, stress free, and healthy way I knew how. There was no gotcha moment, no big paid reveal I had planned.
"I knew my baby would feel every stress and every emotion so I chose to do it this way for my little life and our happiness."
She shared the first photo of Stormi on 6th February.
