Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner are gracing the new Playboy with their joint presence. Jenner teased this morning that the two are part of the magazine's Pleasure issue, sharing an image of her posing with him naked. He was topless and in a pair of jeans.
'When Houston meets LA .. 💛 @playboy #ComingSoon,' Jenner teased on her Instagram shot.
Playboy teased a bit of the Kylie Jenner by Travis Scott feature ahead, sharing a quote the couple gave about each other: 'You’re my best friend. Through all the ups and downs that every relationship has, we evolve together through them and keep getting stronger.'
Jenner appears on the cover of the fall quarterly issue hugging Scott in a photo that he 'creative directed.'
Playboy has been revamping itself over the past couple years. Nudity is back after it was briefly nixed from the magazine, but the magazine on a whole is striving to be more woke and less patriarchally objectifying than Hugh Hefner's Playboy. The magazine has new, younger leadership. Its vibe is intimate but not explicit.
Playboy's executive editor Shane Singh told The New York Times in August the approach they're using for their editorials. 'We talk a lot about when something is objectification versus when it is consensual objectification versus when it is art,' he said. 'I think objectification removes the agency of the subject. Consensual objectification is the idea of someone feeling good about themselves and wanting someone to look at them. Art means, okay, we can hang this on a wall. And if it’s both, for us, that’s the major win.'
