Kylie Jenner’s ‘90s chignon just took us back to school prom
While most of us will need to have our PJs surgically removed after the Christmas period, Kylie Jenner is still making full use of her out-out wardrobe and makeup.
She's also been putting 100% effort into her hair (unlike the rest of us who have been putting 100% of our hair into a scrunchie), and her latest transformation even saw her become a redhead (think Ariel in The Little Mermaid).
If we're being honest, we weren't expecting the Disney-red to stick around for long. The colour was stunning, sure, but Kylie's hair overhauls tend to have the life span of a Mayfly. She spent months experimenting with caramel highlights, gradually lightening her locks until one day she was actual Barbie, with long, platinum-blonde hair.
She put so much time and effort into going blonde we thought it might be a keeper, but no, the red hair dye came out and Kylie's days moonlighting as Barbie were over. Despite the colour switch ups, she's kept her styling pretty effortless, mostly wearing her hair down and long (apart from the brief moment she ditched her hair extensions completely).
That is until yesterday, when she posted a picture of the most elaborate hairstyle we've seen her wear in a long time. Her still-red hair was pinned up in a large, glossy chignon bun, with her fringe blow-dried to one side and some tendrils left loose around her ears.
The tight boob tube dress she was wearing only complimented the nostalgic pull her hair was giving us: school prom. There may have been a few crocodile clips thrown in for good measure back in the day, and some electric blue eyeshadow set of nicely with some Rimmel Heather Shimmer lipstick, but the '90s vibe was still there for all to enjoy...
Although Kylie looked ready for a night out, her caption suggested otherwise: "living room vibes."
