Kuwait Airways Boeing 777 hits jet bridge at Nice Airport
A plane hit a jet bridge at Nice Airport, resulting in a number of delays.
A Kuwait Airways Boeing 777 hit a boarding bridge at the South of France airport at around 6pm last night.
All passengers and crew were reported to have been safely evacuated from the aircraft and there were no injuries.
Video footage shows the left wing of the aircraft crunched into the structure.
According to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the incident occurred when a member of ground personnel “committed a mistake in guiding the plane to its parking slot".
It's understood that the airline cancelled the return leg of the service and alternative arrangements were made for affected passengers.
The national carrier said that wing repairs were underway in order for the aircraft to return to Kuwait as soon as possible.
The Independent has approached Kuwait Airways for comment.
