We have to imagine that when Kristin Juszczyk crafted the now viral jacket for pop sensation Taylor Swift, she thought she might garner some attention—if only just from Swift’s loyal supporters. We also have to imagine that she didn’t exactly anticipate the incredible outpouring of support for her designs in the days and weeks since, and the handful of other celebrities who have commissioned her creative services (Taylor Lautner included).
Now, with a growing following of her own, Juszczyk—the wife of San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk—has signed a major deal with the NFL. According to Sportico, the designer can now use the NFL logo in her designs.
The news broke just about the time that she revealed another ingenious detail stitched into the long red puffer jacket that she wore to cheer on the 49ers take on the Detroit Lions in the NFC Championship on Sunday, Jan. 28. When the long sleeves of the jacket were folded back, it revealed a black lining with the phrase “Super Bowl bound” stitched in white near the cuffs.
“Always have something up my sleeve!” she captioned a video revealing the fun detail.
Juszczyk’s designs are clever and always inspired by jerseys and game day gear of the NFL team that she’s designing the style for. Some of her designs have included the Taylor Swift Chiefs puffer, the Taylor Lautner Lions varsity jacket, a Simone Biles Packers vest and Olivia Culpo’s 49ers corset top and gloves.
With the new NFL licensing agreement and the Super Bowl on the horizon, it remains to be seen what Juszczyk comes up with next.
