Kristen Wiig reportedly welcomed twins via surrogacy with her fiancé Avi Rothman earlier this year.

The actress has kept a low profile about becoming a mother and the couple are yet to confirm the news, according to US Weekly.

The 46-year-old did hint at becoming a parent while hosting a Mother’s Day episode of Saturday Night Live from home last month.

“This is the Mother’s Day show, and at SNL, it’s a very special time to celebrate moms,” she said.

“I don’t know if I truly appreciated my mum the first 45 years of my life. But this year I’m feeling especially grateful for her advice, her love. I’m so thankful for all the things she’s taught me, like preparing me to be a mum myself.”

These are the first children for the notoriously private couple, who were confirmed to be engaged in August last year, several months after he’d proposed.

Wiig and Rothman dated for three years and were first seen together while on holiday in Hawaii in 2016.

They’re known for keeping a low profile as a celebrity couple; their relationship also wasn’t made public until several months after it started.

Previously, Wiig was married to actor Hayes Hargrove from 2005 until 2009 and then dated The Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti in 2012 until 2013.
