Kristen Stewart and her girlfriend Dylan Meyer have touched down in Venice ahead of the city’s film festival, providing the perfect opportunity for the actor to show off her newly-dyed blonde hair.
On Thursday, the actor was seen walking hand-in-hand with her girlfriend in Italy ahead of the 78th Venice International Film Festival, at which her long-awaited portrayal of the late Princess Diana in Spencer, will be shown to audiences for the first time.
Ahead of the screening, the Twilight star was photographed wearing a face mask and an all-white ensemble, consisting of a white T-shirt, white jeans and Converse trainers, in the 'City of Water' with her long-term partner. The star also showed off her bright blonde hair 'do, which is somewhat of a dramatic change from her brunette locks in recent years, yet has proved a fail-safe look for the star.
Meyers similarly opted for a white T-shirt, styled with black brogues, black skinny jeans, a navy-blue bomber jacket and coordinated face mask.
The pair’s appearance together in Venice marks a rare occasion since they were first rumoured to be dating in August 2019.
At the end of 2019 the actor opened up about the possibility of proposing to her screenwriter girlfriend, telling radio host Howard Stern that she ‘can't f*cking wait’ to propose.
‘I have a couple plans that are just the coolest things to do... it's pretty undeniable,’ the Charlie's Angels star noted about taking the next step in their relationship.
Last year, Stewart took over Meyer’s Instagram account for the first time to make an important statement about voting rights.
‘I turned the mic over to Kristen because she had some things to say and doesn't have her own account. Happy #nationalvoterregistrationday!’ Meyer captioned the photo of her partner wearing a ‘Vote’ T-shirt.
‘I never do this but for anyone who has not registered to vote please take this opportunity to feel HEARD. And not hopeless. I am voting because I WANT to believe in our country, [soc]' Stewart added in the post’s caption.
In 2020 Stewart also opened up about her queer experience, telling InStyle: ‘The first time I ever dated a girl, I was immediately being asked if I was a lesbian. And it's like, "God, I'm 21 years old."
‘I felt like maybe there were things that have hurt people I've been with. Not because I felt ashamed of being openly gay but because I didn't like giving myself to the public, in a way. It felt like such thievery.
‘I had no reticence about displaying who I was,’ she told the publication. ‘I was going out every day knowing I'd be photographed while I was being affectionate with my girlfriend, but I didn't want to talk about it. I did feel an enormous pressure, but it wasn't put on me by the [LGBTQ+] community.’
Kristen Stewart’s Spencer will be out in cinemas on November 5. Find out more about the film here.
