Much like that drawer in the kitchen that serves as a dumping ground (read: graveyard) for all manner of things, the bathroom cabinet is oftentimes much the same, housing blunt razors, an odd assortment of plasters and all those vitamins you swore you'd start taking. Surprisingly though, even when you're Kourtney Kardashian, there's no escaping the array of items that find themselves a permanent fixture in the cupboard under the sink.

Over on her wellness website, Poosh, the reality TV star turned PDA-professional took us on a behind-the-scenes tour of her bathroom cabinet (or as they say over the pond, the medicine cabinet). So, what actually is in Kourtney's cabinets?

Given how big the 42-year-old is on her health, it makes sense that her medicine cabinet is home to plenty of immune-boosting remedies, including zinc and echinacea. Echinacea is a popular herbal remedy which can help reduce symptoms of the common cold and flu, like a sore throat, and can be taken as a tablet or in tea.

Clearly Kourt's a fan of herbal medicine, as she's also stocked up on chewable papaya enzymes, which are bursting with natural properties that can help reduce pain and inflammation, aid digestion, ease muscle soreness and ease a sore throat. And, when it comes to fighting off the cause of sore throats, a cold, the reality star is well prepared, thanks to her steam inhaler (which helps ease congestion) and neti pot (which can be used to flush your sinuses).

Neti pots, which use a saline solution to treat congestion, have been a hot topic of conversation in the health and fitness world as of late, with some questioning whether or not they're safe. But, according to the NHS, 'rinsing your nasal passages with a salt water solution can be helpful' and can 'help wash away any excess mucus or irritants inside your nose, which can reduce inflammation and relieve symptoms.'

Nose products and nasal cleansers aside, Kourtney's also well stocked when it comes to oils and ointments. The Poosh founder's medicine cabinet features a collection of essential oils, which she uses in her diffuser every night. Oil diffusers, sometimes called aromatherapy diffusers, disperse essential oils into the air and have various benefits depending on the oil in use. Lavender oil, for example, can help reduce feelings of anxiety and promote relaxation, while eucalyptus and peppermint oil can help relieve the airways.

As for Kourtney's supplements, her go-to is lypo-spheric vitamin c which, according to Poosh, is 'vitamin C bound in a layer of fat to enhance absorption and get to your cells faster.' The benefits of taking lypo-spheric vitamin c are many, as it helps maintain a healthy immune system, and promotes muscle repair and energy. We're sold!

Of course, no parent's bathroom cabinet would be complete without the likes of band-aids and cough drops, and Kourtney's is no different. She also keeps a packet of peppermints on hand too, a tradition passed down from her father, who used to give them to Kourtney and her siblings if they were feeling unwell.

Now all we need to know is how she keeps it all so bloody organised...
