King unveils plaque to Queen Elizabeth II in Parliament

The King has visited Westminster Hall in the Houses of Parliament to unveil a plaque which marks the place of the Lying-in-State of Queen Elizabeth II. King Charles met the leaders of the House of Lords and the House of Commons as well as the prime minister and party leaders. The installation of the plaque continues a royal tradition which goes back to King Edward VII in 1910. His Majesty continued to New Palace Yard where he unveiled a pair of bronze sculptured lamps - a gift from Parliamentarians to the late Queen.
