The 'Material Girl' has jumped on the biopic bandwagon and has revealed she is set to write and direct a film about her life. Although the film is in the early stages of production, Florence Pugh has been rumored to be playing Madonna. The Queen of Pop said: "I don't know. We haven't decided yet. But she’s definitely up there on the list, if she'll have me." - 3/11
Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne
Ozzy and Sharon's tumultuous love story is coming to screen, a regular feature of the Osbourne family. As yet untitled, the film will be produced by Sharon and her children Jack and Aimée under their label Osbourne Media. About the project, Sharon told Variety: “Our relationship at times was often wild, insane and dangerous but it was our undying love that kept us together. We’re thrilled to partner with Sony Pictures and Polygram to bring our story to the screen.” - 4/11

Back in May 2021, Cher revealed on Twitter that movie on her life was in the works. Not much is known about the project, except for the fact that Universal Pictures will distribute the film and that Eric Roth will write the script. Deadline noted that it will not be a musical like 'Mamma Mia!', but it rather will feature a narrative as the one seen on 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. Soon, the King of Rock and Roll will be the king of the box office. Director Baz Luhrmann is releasing a biopic on Elvis Presley, simply named ‘Elvis’ with young star Austin Butler in the lead role. Tom Hanks will play Elvis’ manager, Colonel Tom Parker. The film will chronicle Presley's rise from humble beginnings to one of the biggest stars in music history. The movie is set to premiere in June, 2022 via Warner Bros. Pictures. - 6/11

Not only will the King of Rock and Roll have his biopic, but the King of Pop will have one too. Lionsgate will distribute a new Michael Jackson film produced by 'Bohemian Rhapsody’s’ Graham King. Titled 'Michael', the screenplay is being written by three-time Oscar nominee John Logan. King and Logan previously collaborated on Martin Scorsese’s 'The Aviator'. - 7/11

In April 2021, Boy George announced his biopic 'Karma Chameleon' was set to start shooting across London and Bulgaria during last summer. Although only few details are known, it is said that the film will chronicle George's success in the 80s while unflinchingly showing his struggles with substance abuse. Additionally, Danny Mays will play George's father, and Sacha Gervasi is set to direct. - 8/11

Titled 'I Wanna Dance with Somebody' after her famous 1987 hit, the Whitney Houston biopic is set for a Christmas 2022 release. British actress Naomi Ackie will play the late R&B singer while Sony will be distributing the film. Discussing the project, director Stella Meghie said: "We spent the better part of the last year in an exhaustive search for an actress who could embody Whitney Houston. Naomi Ackie impressed us at every stage of the process. I was moved by her ability to capture the stage presence of a global icon while bringing humanity to her interior life.” - 9/11

It's about time a film about Bob Marley's life was made! In very recent news, it was announced that Kingsley Ben-Adir would take on the role of Bob Marley in a biopic about the reggae legend's life. The story will be covering an intense period in the Rastafarian musician's life: his later years making 'Exodus' in London just after a failed assassination attempt in Jamaica. - 10/11

The Bob Dylan biopic 'Going Electric' will star Timothée Chalamet as the music legend and is being directed by James Mangold. Cinematographer Phedon Papamichael has said that Chalamet has put a lot of hard work into getting ready to play Dylan. Not only has he been learning how to play guitar, but the actor rented out an Airbnb in Woodstock and had a meeting with Joel Coen just to get into the mindset of Dylan. - 11/11

Robbie Williams has teamed up with Australian filmmaker Michael Gracey - who gave the world 'The Greatest Showman' - for his biopic 'Better Man'. Principal photography has begun in Melbourne, Australia, and it will document the ups and downs of Robbie's pop career, from being a member of Take That to solo superstar. Robbie will play himself in some capacity of the film which will also show his childhood.
