Kim Kardashian West has cemented her place among social media royalty after announcing she has reached 200 million followers on Instagram.

The mother-of-four celebrated the career highlight on Sunday (January 17) in true influencer style - with a series of stylish selfies.

'200 MIL thank you so much for the love [sic],' Kardashian captioned a series of photos of herself, in which she sports her recently-dyed light brown balayage, and thanked her fans for helping her realise the impressive feat.

The beauty mogul's latest career success places her a mere few thousand followers away from the current most followed celebrity, footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, who has more than 250 million followers on the social media platform.

Kardashian is the second-most followed member of her family on social media, with younger sister Kylie Jenner nabbing the top spot by boasting more than 210 followers on Instagram. Sisters Kendall Jenner (148 million), Khloé Kardashian (127 million) and oldest sister Kourtney Kardashian (107 million) follow closely behind with their follower counts.

To kick off 2021, the youngest Jenner unfollowed the majority of the accounts on Instagram, leaving just 28.

A quick look at the beauty mogul's Instagram account today and you’ll see that Jenner is now only follows a select few friends and family members including – Kris Jenner, Caitlyn Jenner, Kendall and Khloé.

She also follows her ex Travis Scott, BFF Stassie Karanikolaou, Scott Disick and several Kylie Cosmetics and fashion fan accounts.

It’s unknown when or the 23-year-old purged so many accounts from her social media but it's the type of digital detox we couldn't agree more with when it comes to prioritising one's mental health.

This year is set to be a big one for the Kardashian and Jenner families as they recently called time on their hit reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

‘We are beyond grateful to all of you who’ve watched us for all of these years – through the good times, the bad times, the happiness, the tears, and the many relationships and children,’ an excerpt of a caption announcing the news by the family last September reads.

After 20 seasons and 14 years, the show will come to an end when the final season airs in early 2021.
