In 2019, the 40-year-old announced she was training to be a lawyer, and had taken on a four year apprenticeship with a California law firm. Since then, she's given fans an insight into her revision on Instagram Stories, while a recent episode of KUWTK saw her practicing for a mini bar exam.
Now [26 May], Kim has revealed she actually failed the test. "The way I’m doing it, it is a four-year programme instead of your typical three-year programme," Kim explained in the confessional. "And after year one, you have to take the baby bar. This one actually is harder, I hear, than the official bar."
In a later scene, Kim's mentor, attorney Jessica Jackson, informs the reality star that she scored 474 on her first try taking her first year law student exam. She needed a score of 560 to pass.
"I am a failure," Kim replies. "I spent six weeks straight, 10 to 12 hours a day, studying, and it was so important for me to take this. And to not pass gets your spirit down and just makes you want to give up.
"The fact that I spent all that time away from my kids, like I can’t do it again. I don’t have time. To do the next test is November."
Though Kim sounded disheartened in the episode, which was filmed in October 2020, she actually took to Instagram Stories yesterday [26 May] to reveal she wasn't going to give up. "How are you finding the bar exams?" one fan asked.
Kim replied, "Extremely difficult. Unfortunately I haven't passed yet but I'm not giving up and I'm preparing to take it again soon."
Keep going, Kim!
