You may have noticed that Kim Kardashian's recent private island getaway for her 40th birthday didn't exactly go down well with fans. And, almost a week after the backlash began it's somehow getting worse, after Kim posted another picture of the trip along with the caption "not done yet," prompting increased criticism from fans.

We're less than a week on from Kim's now heavily meme-ed social media post announcing that she had taken her inner circle to a private island to feel normality for "a brief moment in time," and the pictures from the infamous trip just keep coming, and now with even more ill-advised captions.

In a new Instagram post, Kim shared a series of pictures from the trip, showing her on a boat and swimming with friends. She captioned the post, "Not done yet! ☀️ Sunrise Crew ☀️," prompting many followers to make their feelings known in the comment section.

One comment read, "the pandemic isn’t over just bc you’re over it," while another said, "Not done being tone deaf yet. Okay, Kim...."

One person simply commented "We would like you to be done," while another stated, "Damn I forgot global pandemics don’t apply to celebrities. Phew, must be nice.😅 ."

The backlash began last week when Kim announced the trip on social media, saying, "After 2 weeks of multiple health screens and asking everyone to quarantine, I surprised my closest inner circle with a trip to a private island where we could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time."

Quite quickly the internet did what it does best and mocked the post relentlessly, with people sharing their own versions of the tweet.

Meanwhile last week Khloé Kardashian responded to the criticism in an appearance on The Ellen Show saying, "I haven’t heard a lot about it, but I did hear that people were upset that we all went out of town."

Yikes...
