Kim K's lingerie line name is problematic
Hot on the heels of Rihanna launching her size inclusive Savage x Fenty lingerie line, Kim Kardashian is getting in on the undie action as well, because apparently a celebrity makeup line isn't enough these days.
In legal documents obtained by TMZ, Kim's line plans to include bustiers, nightgowns, breast shapers, pasties, leotards, socks and more, but it is the name of the line that is causing controversy.
Kim is no stranger to cultural appropriation accusations (remember those 'Bo Derek' braids earlier this year?) but after TMZ revealed her line would be called 'Kimono Intimates' it's fair to say the Internet was raging.

i’m absolutely insulted that kim kardashian is again trying to one up powerful black women like rihanna by coming out with a lingerie line like she is doing and calling it “kimono intimates” because her name is in the word ‘kimono’.

first of all everyone needs to understanding that her calling it ‘kimono intimates’ is an example of cultural appropriation, given she is not one bit japanese nor oriental asian, and that’s why is insulting.
