A key fashion and beauty trend at the 2020 Oscars was 'less is more' with many stars opting for single block colours, clean lines and simple design.

One actor who possibly didn't get that memo, and instead leaned fully into the trend of all-out red carpet glamour was Killing Eve's Sandra Oh.

And we're so glad she did because her two Oscar gowns were a lesson in occasion-wear dressing with real drama.

Sandra walked the red carpet, watched the ceremony and took to the stage as a presenter while wearing a Champagne coloured gown with super exaggerated ruffle sleeves. The dress had shimmer, a plunging neckline and even a dramatic open back.

The actor styled her dress with jewels because, well, it's only the Oscars once a year, right?

Sandra looked thrilled to be up on stage presenting an award and was clearly overjoyed to see South Korean film Parasite win big in the best picture category.

She took to social media to say she's "so so proud to be Korean."

After such an amazing night, Sandra wasn't ready to head home, naturally. She changed into another gorgeous gown to attend the Vanity Fair after-party.

Sandra's second look mirrored her first in that it was all-out Hollywood extravagance with sparkle, a deep neckline and a statement silhouette, however the darker grey colour palette contrasted to her early evening look.

Whoever said less is more may want to re-think. All hail Sandra Oh, the official Queen of red carpet luxe.
