Khloe Kardashian on why KarJenners thought they'd 'grow apart'
Earlier this week, Kim Kardashian took to Instagram to share the news that filming had begun on the KarJennner's new reality show with Hulu, and now little sister Khloe has opened up about what was "weird at first" with their new show, and why the family worried they'd "grow apart."
Speaking to James Corden, host of The Late Late Show, Khloe revealed that the whole family were itching to get back on set after their iconic series, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, came to an end after 20 seasons in June. "Since 2007, we haven't gone six weeks without filming," she said, "So, this six months without filming is the longest I've ever had."
Khloe continued: "It was weird at first. But actually nice for a minute because we got to remember, 'OK, I'm not mic'd all the time, I don't have to be in full hair and makeup all day long."
She also joked how "there's nothing like being paid to be with one another."
The 37-year-old also revealed that while it was "actually nice" to take a break from filming for a while, family matriarch and momager Kris Jenner "missed filming like crazy."
Kris, who was sitting in the audience, then admitted "I did miss filming. I said, 'We have to start filming. It's an emergency!' And they said, 'What's the emergency?' And I said, 'I don't know, but I'll think of something!'"
Despite being such a close family, Khloe revealed the KarJenners worried they might lose touch without KUWTK. She admitted that when the cameras weren't rolling they didn't see each other as much, and Scott Disick also feared the gang would "grow apart."
During the final season, Scott asked Kim and Khloe how often they saw each other off-camera, and questioned if they'd "float apart a little" without regular filming. But Kim and Khloe weren't as worried, letting on that they'd be sure to have plenty of family dinners and always meet up for special holidays.
Although it's unclear if Scott himself will be joining the family on their new show (especially after that DM drama), at least we know Kris, Kourtney, Kim and Khloe will be back on screens quicker than we can say "You're doing amazing sweetie!"
