Khloé Kardashian tearfully discusses second baby with Tristan Thompson
If you've been keeping up to date on the goings-on in Kardashian land, you'll be aware that back in August, Khloé Kardashian welcomed her second child with Tristan Thompson. Gradually, Khloé is choosing to share more details about her new baby with the world. The child, who was born via a surrogate, was recently featured in a video shared to Khloé's social media and while an official name hasn't been revealed yet, the 38-year-old is opening up more about her experience of motherhood.
Now, Khloé is shown getting candid in a new video which has dropped ahead of the new season of The Kardashians, which debuts tonight (22 September). The clip shows her address her decision to have a second child with Tristan, saying; "There is something I'm ready to talk about: Tristan and I are having another baby."
"And it's supposed to be a really exciting time," she adds, while tearing up. "It's just a different experience." Her mother Kris is also present in the video, and explains how it has been difficult to see Khloé suffering emotionally and in "pain".
Despite the obvious emotion in the video, it is clear that Khloé is looking to stay strong. "This has been a difficult time in my life," she explains. "But it's the start of something positive and happy and beautiful."
The clip appears to be alluding to the paternity and cheating scandal which clouded Khloé and Tristan's decision to have a second child. The pair, who broke up in January, also have another child together, True (4), and Tristan also has two children, Prince (6) and Theo (9 months).
Theo was fathered by Tristan and Maralee Nichols, after they slept together in March 2021 during his birthday celebrations. He was born just one month after Khloé and Tristan's surrogate fell pregnant in November.
The news of the affair broke in December 2021, when the baby was born, and in January a paternity test confirmed that Tristan was the father. He has since apologised for his infidelity, taking to social media to say; "Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols. I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established I look forward to amicably raising our son."
