  • Khloé Kardashian tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this year and shared her experience with it on Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

  • Even so, Khloé went to celebrate Kim Kardashian's 40th birthday in Tahiti last week, despite California's non-essential travel ban.

Khloé Kardashian revealed this week that she spent part of this year sick with COVID-19. In a promo from an upcoming episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Khloé revealed that she contracted coronavirus and explained her symptoms.

In a self-recorded video, Khloé said, "Just found out that I do have corona...I have been in my room. It's gonna be fine, but it was really bad for a couple days." Khloé shared that she suffered from vomiting, shaking, hot and cold flashes, and terrible headaches in addition to the migraines she's gotten for years.

"I suffer from migraines, but this was the craziest headache," she explained. "I wouldn't say it was a migraine. The coughing, my chest would burn when I would cough." At the time, Khloé said she had a sore throat that wasn't going away. "Let me tell you, that shit is real," she added. "But, we're all gonna get through this."

Despite contracting coronavirus this year, Khloé *still* chose to travel to Kim Kardashian's 40th birthday celebration this week. As a reminder, a non-essential travel ban is still in place in California, so this was a direct breach of it. "You can travel for urgent matters or if such travel is essential to your permitted work," the state's COVID site clearly states. "Even though businesses around the state are opening up, avoid traveling long distances for vacations or pleasure as much as possible. This is to slow the spread of the coronavirus."

Instead, Khloé and her family violated the travel restriction and ignored the steadily rising number of coronavirus cases across the United States to spend time with Kim's friends in Tahiti, where no masks were worn and no social distancing was in place.

Kim attempted to justify this but was ruthlessly mocked by the internet. Maybe next time, the Kardashians won't be so needlessly reckless mid-pandemic.
