Kevin Hart has been busy getting into character for his next project—with the help of some weights. The comic actor just showed off his jacked biceps in a carousel of photos on Instagram taken from his training for the upcoming sci-fi adventure movie Borderlands.
Hart will be playing the soldier Roland in the adaptation of the video game series, a character who is, to put it bluntly, swole as hell. And if his arms are any indication, Hart is more than prepared. "So ready to take on the role of Roland in 'Borderlands,'" he wrote in the caption. "It's go time people!!!!! Hard work brings great results."
Hart's passion for fitness is not a new development; he regularly shares updates from his training sessions on social media, and even hosts his own webseries, What the Fit, in which he teams up with other celebrities to try out different sports and workouts. And he has been open about how his commitment to the "hustle" of his training, combined with a booked-and-busy work life, gave him the focus he needed when recovering from the car accident that left him with a serious spinal injury.
"I’m addicted to the fucking work," he told Men's Health in 2020. "I’d much rather that be my addiction than be strung out on crack, but now I have to struggle to find balance. That hustle is not going anywhere, but I want it suppressed and balanced so I can put the same kind of energy into my family."
