When did they meet?
Kevin and Christine met at some point during the ‘90s, when he was preparing for his role in ‘Tin Cup’, as per Us Weekly. At the time, Kevin was married to his first wife, Cindy Costner. Christine is a successful handbag designer, and has worked with Cat Bag Couture, with stores across Aspen, Colorado. In 2005, she told The Denver Post that the ‘Bodyguard’ actor always supported her career. She said: "When I came up with some samples, I showed them to Kevin, and he said they were beautiful and amazing. He told me I should take it to the next step and he'd help me. Kevin and Christine in 2023: they announce their split
In January 2023, Costner earned a Best Actor Golden Globe nomination for his role as John in ‘Yellowstone’. Sadly, he and Christine missed the awards show as a terrible rain flooded the California freeway. At the time, the star took to Instagram to give his followers an update, revealing “how bad Christine wanted to support me". He wrote: “Chris had a beautiful dress, I was looking forward to walking down the red carpet with her. She went out and bought me some gold and yellow and black and silver balloons, and so we’re gonna [watch] the television and see what happens.” But just a mere four months later, in May 2023, it was revealed that Christine had filed for divorce after almost 19 years of marriage. According to TMZ, the fashion designer cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason behind their split.
