Kerry Katona diagnosed with arthritis in shoulders
Kerry Katona has been diagnosed with arthritis in her shoulders and a protruding disc in her back.
The former Atomic Kitten has suffered from chronic pain for 13 years and has never found what was causing it so she was thrilled on Wednesday when she finally found out what was wrong with her shoulders and back.
"For those of you who know all about the pain and agony I've been in for years with my back and shoulders," she wrote on Instagram. "I'm so excited to of actually being diagnosed with arthritis in my shoulders and a protruding disc in my back which can be operated on!!
"I know I must sound like a weirdo but to have been in pain for all of these years without a diagnosis has been horrendous and I am over the moon. Thank you soooo much Dr tang @pallmallmedical you have no idea how much this has changed my life!!!!"
In an accompanying video, the Celebrity Big Brother star explained that she has been in agony since she gave birth to her 13-year-old son Maxwell and has been on the "strongest painkillers" for eight years and has cortisone injections to relive the pain.
She said she felt "delighted" and "dead happy" to finally have answers as it means she can have an operation on her back and put an end to her chronic pain.
"It sounds so stupid that I'm smiling, that I'm so happy that there's something wrong with me. Does that make sense? I've never been told what it is that's wrong," she added.
