Royal fans were treated to a whole host of lovely new photographs over the weekend, as the Cambridges celebrated not only Prince William's 38th birthday on Sunday (21 June) but Father's Day too, which happened to fall on the same day this year.
One of the posts was dedicated to photos of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with their respective fathers, Prince Charles and Michael Middleton.
While the photo of Will and Charles was a recent snap taken by the Duchess herself, the picture of Kate and dad Michael was an adorable childhood throwback.
The accompanying caption reads: "Prince William photos with George, Charlotte, Happy Father’s Day!"
It went on to explain that the lovely snap of Will with his arm around Charles was taken by Kate at Sandringham in December 2019.
Royal fans were clearly delighted by both photos, and the post has sine received well over a million likes at the time of writing.
Several followers were also quick to point out just how similar a young Duchess of Cambridge looks to one of her three children, in particular – Prince Louis, now two.
"Is that Louis or his mama?" joked one fan, while another added: "Prince Louis seems like baby Kate." A third agreed, adding: "How much does Louis look like mum?"
We have to say we can definitely see the family resemblance!
The Father's Day post was one of three shared by the Cambridges' official Instagram account over the weekend, including a series of delightful new photographs of Prince William with his kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
All of the new snaps were taken by mum Kate earlier this month at the Cambridge family home, Amner Hall, in Norfolk.
