Kelsey and Camille Grammer’s Daughter Returns to NYFW

These days, being the child of a celebrity is almost a fast track to becoming a model. Looking at the success of some of the most in-demand models now, a parent or family member with a recognizable face and a horde of Instagram followers is almost enough to get you in a campaign or on a runway.

Kelsey and Camille Grammer’s daughter, Mason, is yet another celeb kid who has gotten the attention of the fashion world. On Thursday, the 15-year-old made an appearance on designer Malan Breton’s runway, rocking a floral printed dress and a vampy lip, serving ladylike spookiness.

This isn’t Grammer’s first NYFW moment. Last year, at only 14, she walked in Breton‘s fall and spring shows, before going back to, as her mother put it, “reality — school and soccer.” Well, it looks as if Mason needed another go-round in the fantasy world of fashion.

Though she’s had her share of runway experience, Grammer admitted to Us that she still gets butterflies on the catwalk. “I always get scared — I know this is weird — I get scared I’m gonna sneeze or something during it. I don’t know why. When I’m walking I’m like, ‘Please do not sneeze.’ That’s my biggest fear.”

But if she was nervous, it’s clear that she got over her fears and kept her cool on the runway. “Thank you again @malanbreton for letting me be apart of this amazing experience,” she wrote in an Instagram post.

Camille, who starred on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and was Kelsey’s third wife, expressed her excitement for her daughter repeatedly on social media.

However, Mason’s young age may be an issue. The Council of Fashion Designers of America’s health initiative, which was adopted in 2007, specifically discourages designers from using models under the age of 16 on their runways. According to a statement it provided Yahoo Style in 2016: “The CFDA communicates this message to its members prior to the spring and fall castings, and there has been great acceptance of this guideline. We also support the New York State Legislature law stating that all models under 18 must be treated as child performers.”

It’s not clear whether Breton was aware of this initiative when it cast the now 15-year-old blonde yet again. We’ve reached out to Breton for comment and will update this post when we hear back.
