We're ditching the dark-hair-for-winter cliché because according to A-listers, honey blonde is this season's hottest dye job. Case in point? Between Rihanna’s waist-skimming buttery blonde hair to Kim Kardashian’s honey locks, the It girls are going against the grain. The latest celeb to go lighter for the holidays is Keke Palmer — and if you ask us, three’s a trend.

On Sunday, the singer and actress attended the 2023 BET Soul Train Awards in Hollywood, dishing out awards and serving up major hair inspiration that may have just proved that blondes really do have more fun. For the event, she sported a honey-blonde shoulder-length hairstyle, which she styled in a middle part with shiny, voluminous blown-out curls. She teamed the honey blonde hue with a smoky eyeshadow look, long feathery lashes, and a glossy cocoa-colored lip.

Palmer paired her blonde locks with everybody's favorite wardrobe staple: a little black dress. For the award show, she slipped into a fitted black micro-mini Versace dress with spaghetti straps and a pair of coordinating pumps. A smattering of gold rings and diamond hoop earrings provided the finishing touches to her look.

This isn't the first time (and something tells us it won't be the last) that Palmer traded in her signature brunette hair for a platinum dye job. Over the summer, the actress posted a selfie sporting a very good wig on her Instagram, writing, “That time I went blonde."

In the post, she styled voluminous bleach-blonde locks into an elegant updo with face-framing bangs. While posing for the camera, she coordinated her pink eyeshadow and glossy lips to her nail polish.
