Keeley Hawes ‘candlelit glow’ skin secret revealed
Keeley Hawes is one of those ageless women who always looks effortlessly chic, but we couldn’t help noticing she’s looking especially radiant lately – and we’ve found out the exact products behind her glow.
Appearing at the Erdem show at London Fashion Week, Keeley rocked an elevated soft glam look with a radiant ‘from-within’ glow. Lucky for us, her makeup artist Justine Jenkins has shared exactly she created Keeley’s base – accurately dubbing it ‘candlelit skin’.
Justine revealed that she used a range of vegan and cruelty free products from one of her favourite sustainable makeup brands, et al. You may not yet be acquainted with this below-radar beauty brand, but it's already a huge hit with the GH beauty team. "I was introduced to it by celebrity makeup artist Hannah Martin when it launched last year, and I fell in love as soon as it went on my face," says GH beauty director Lynne Hyland.
From the same company that brought us Environ skincare, et al. is rooted in scientific credentials, having been created by the founders of the International Institute of Active Ageing. Infusing skincare and makeup, its base range particularly focuses on hydration, making it ideal for both longwear use and for replicating Keeley’s glow.
Fans were quick to praise Justine's handiwork: “Just beautiful 😍 That foundation and blush are just the perfect colours on Keeley. Love all the refillable options!” said one, on the partnership post, while another noted just “how incredibly gorgeous and glowy” Keeley’s skin looked.
That radiance is doubtless helped by the fact that all et al.’s base products – from its antioxidant foundations to niacinamide-infused setting mists – use active ingredients which tap into the company's skincare background.
We also rate the brand for long-lasting but comfortable coverage, an expansive shade range, and its eco initiatives. As well as limiting any single-use plastic used in its packaging, et al.'s blushers, powder foundations and compact palettes are all refillable, helping to reduce waste. (Justine used the new Peach Glow shade on Keeley, calling it "pure sunshine".)
With prices ranging from £7 to £45, this celeb-approved vegan beauty brand is certainly one to watch. And to recreate Keeley’s dewy look at home, you'll find the exact products Justine’s used below.
