Is Keanu Reeves taken?

He and artist Alexandra Grant held hands on the red carpet Saturday at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s Art + Film Gala, prompting speculation that the two are dating. Yahoo Entertainment has reached out to Reeves’s team for comment.

However, we know that Reeves, 55, and Grant, who’s reportedly 46, are, at the very least, good friends who hold hands with one another. They did the same thing back in June when they attended a Saint Laurent fashion event in Malibu, California.

The story of Reeves and Grant’s relationship began in 2009, when they met at a dinner party.

The artist and Reeves, a musician and poet — he does it all, guys! — hit it off and ended up working together.

They produced two books, 2011’s Ode to Happiness, and Shadows in 2016. Both works featured Grant’s illustrations and words by Reeves.

Then, in 2017, they began publishing books under the name X Artists’ Books. They chose “aggressively esoteric titles of the kind that wouldn’t fly at larger imprints,” according to T: The New York Times Style Magazine. The piece on their partnership noted that they made their business decisions together.

Grant’s official biography notes that she “frequently collaborates with other artists, writers and philosophers.” (Of course, Reeves is the only one who gave an awesome cameo performance in Always Be My Maybe.) Her work, which often focuses on language, has been exhibited extensively not only in L.A. but in New York City, Toronto and elsewhere.

Grant spoke about one of the things she has in common with Reeves in a February 2018 interview with Los Angeles magazine. “We really like ‘can-do,’” she said. “Some people are the kind of dreamers who have a lot of ideas but don’t like to get things done. I think we both like to have the idea and get it into the world.”

Aside from her work with Reeves, Grant raises money for art-based non-profit organisations through her grantLove project.
