Katy Perry raves over new moisturiser from Miranda Kerr's skincare line

Katy Perry has credited a moisturiser from Miranda Kerr's skincare line for helping to combat her cystic acne.

The Firework hitmaker has been open about her struggles with spot flare-ups and an oily skin type over the course of her career.

But in an Instagram Live chat with supermodel and beauty entrepreneur Miranda earlier this week, Katy shared that her complexion has been transformed since she started using the Turmeric Glow Moisturizer from KORA Organics, which features liquorice extract and rosehip oil. It is priced at $58 (£44).

"I've used everything on my skin. I've used La Mer. I've used lines from all of the amazing dermatologists in Los Angeles. But this one has changed my skin so much," raved Katy. "People are like, 'You're glowing! You've got rosy cheeks!' I use it both morning and night. People think I've just come from a facial."

Katy went on to share that while she was hesitant to try the new product at first, continued use of the hydrating cream has changed her "skin game so much".

"I have had adult acne in the past and that's why I haven't been leaning into a heavy moisturiser. Because I thought, 'Oh I'm going to get these cystic zits underneath my skin that I can't even pop to get out.' They kind of hurt. You can't even tell if they're there - but they're there," the 36-year-old continued. "I would get them from oil on my skin and getting too oily, so I was a little bit scared of heavy moisturiser. I didn't want these zits that stayed for months on end.

"I was nervous to try it...(but) it has made my pores (smaller), no zits, nothing. I'm not scared of it, it doesn't make me break out at all."

In addition to promoting Miranda's skincare line, Katy proved she's on great terms with her partner Orlando Bloom's ex-wife. Orlando and Miranda were married from 2010 until 2013, while the actor and Katy began dating in 2016 and got engaged three years later.
