Katie Holmes & Charlize Theron Celebrate Hollywood’s 25 Most Powerful Stylists

16 March 2012

We’ve often wondered how the likes of Katie Holmes, Charlize Theron and Zoe Saldana manage to look so fabulous all of the time (scroll through our gallery above to see what we mean!!). Well on Wednesday we found out at a glamorous luncheon on the rooftop of Soho House West Hollywood when we met the bunch of talented stylists responsible for making some of our favourite A-listers look the part.

We had the exclusive invite to The Hollywood Reporter and Jimmy Choo 25 Most Powerful Stylists Luncheon where we mingled – champagne in hand of course – with Kate Young who took the No.1 spot and styles Michelle Williams and Natalie Portman. Second was Leslie Fremar, the woman behind Charlize Theron. Then there was Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn who were responsible for Jennifer Lopez’s Oscars 2012 now famous ‘nipple-gate’ dress. They had flown in at 2am straight from styling Jennifer Lopez’s latest video shoot in Mexico, where they also had to style her stunt double, who bizarrely happened to be a man. After the lunch they were off to style the guys on American Idol. Blimey! Hard life.

We also caught up with Jeanne Yang who was there with her client and design partner, the lovely Katie Holmes who was wearing a black Holmes and Yang blouse and flared skirt. Jeanne even styles Katie’s husband Tom Cruise from time to time.

And after a delicious lunch of salmon Nicoise, sorbet and cookies, fresh from announcing to the world that she had adopted a baby boy called Jackson, we caught up with Charlize Theron. Looking stunning in a Boy by Band of Outsiders coat dress who told us her fashion inspiration is her mum. Bless.
