Ryan entered into a civil partnership with Kootstra in 2019, after they bumped into each other after 20 years apart.

The star – who also has an 11-year-old daughter named Violet – said on The Jonathan Ross Show afterwards: “It's perfect having a civil partner.

“We didn't have a wedding, I didn't need to put on a white dress and pretend to be a virgin, that ship has sailed!”

Earlier this year, Ryan revealed that she suffered a miscarriage in 2020.

She told the Mirror that when people such as Chrissy Teigen and Meghan Markle came out and shared their stories about pregnancy loss, it made her feel "very hopeful and encouraged" because their message would reach so many families.

She said: “That conversation is evolving and I’m so glad to see it evolving. Ultimately it’s for the best and it will help a lot of people, especially when they’re still going to scans alone.

At 25 years old with my daughter I hadn't considered anything bad might happen to me, I went through my pregnancy ‘Lalala’ and that’s a wonderful feeling. But once you experience a loss like that I don’t think you ever feel the same way with a pregnancy.”
