Katherine Ryan is pregnant with her second child.
The comedienne revealed she was expecting when she stepped on stage at London's Kentish Town Forum on Thursday night for the live recording of her podcast Telling Everybody Everything wearing a tight lame dress that clung to her baby bump.
According to The Sun, the 37-year-old told the audience she is due to give birth over the summer, but refused to share her exact due date as other mothers had advised her not to reveal that information.
She praised Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, who is pregnant with her and Prince Harry's second child, for keeping her due date vague during her interview with Oprah Winfrey, and explained that keeping that information private stopped people asking too many questions and comparing her bump to others.
Katherine joked on Instagram on Friday morning that she was hoping to look like Cardi B when she performed on Saturday Night Live while pregnant in 2018 with her tight dress at the podcast recording.
The child will be the first for Katherine and her child sweetheart Bobby Kootstra, who she has been in a civil partnership with since 2019. She is also mother to 11-year-old daughter Violet from a previous relationship.
Violet appeared onstage during the podcast recording and told the crowd that she was "very excited" to be a big sister.
The Canadian comic, who lives in Hertfordshire with her family, wore baggy clothes to cover up her bump for an appearance on Beat The Chasers: Celebrity Special back in March but the bump was more obvious during a recording of Celebrity Juice last week.
