Former TOWIE star Kate Wright and her husband Rio Ferdinand are expecting their first child together.
Kate, who tied the knot with sportsman Rio in September last year, confirmed the news on Thursday (June 18) with a heartwarming video of herself and Rio telling Rio's three children, Lorenz, Tate and Tia, about the happy news.
As the family gather around a table, Lorenz, Tate and Tia appear to be given something to read aloud, which says: "Before, we used to argue every day of the week. Now for the next chapter. Guess what?"
"I'm pregnant," Kate then confirms, before pointing out her baby bump.
And as the news sinks in, Lorenz, Tate and Tia all jump up to congratulate Kate and Rio and share in a group hug.
"The crazy house is about to get a little bit crazier..." Kate captioned the video on her Instagram page. "Every time I watch this it makes me cry, the best reaction. Baby Ferdy we are all so excited to meet you."
Rio also shared the video on his own social media account, adding the caption: "We got our wish, another Ferdinand en route!! @xkateferdinand I can't wait to go through this whole pregnancy together and then bring our little human into this world."
Kate and Rio began dating in 2017 following the passing of Rio's first wife Rebecca Ellison two years earlier.
They later got engaged in 2018 and earlier this year the couple featured in a BBC documentary called Rio & Kate: Becoming A Step Family, which followed the couple in the months leading up to their wedding and focused on Kate's integration into the Ferdinand family.
"The positive response to Being Mum and Dad in 2017 and the way it helped others going through a similar situation was overwhelming. For that reason we were both compelled to tell the next chapter in our lives together," Rio and Kate said at the time.
"We hope Becoming a Step Family will give a unique insight into step families and the journey through grief, whilst also providing an intimate look at our lives together."
Kate also recently opened up about her exit from ITVBe reality series The Only Way is Essex, admitting that she thought her being on the show could have a negative impact on her relationship with Rio's children.
"There was an awful lot of drama," Kate said. "I felt like I was rowing on the TV. And I just didn't feel like that fitted with looking after three kids.
"It wouldn't be right for them to turn on the TV and see me having a row with someone one day, and the next day, me trying to look after them, and discipline them and be a good step-mum."
