Whenever we hear that the Duchess of Cambridge has worn something from the high street, our ears prick up, so imagine our delight at discovering that Kate has been rocking a pair of £5 earrings recently...

Yes, that's the right – the Duchess chose a chic pair of high street earrings from Accessorize for her latest video appearance.

In the clip, which has been shared by the Cambridges' official Twitter account, Kate was discussing her new photography competition with the National Portrait Gallery, Hold Still, which aims to capture life in the UK during the coronavirus pandemic.

The royal revealed that she has seen so many "amazing" entries from people across the UK, before sharing some of the images that have been submitted so far.

Accessorize has just confirmed to Good Housekeeping that the Duchess was wearing its £5 Twisted Circle Drop Earrings in the new video.

The elegant gold-tone earrings are described as "simple but eye-catching". They feature a hoop drop pendant with a textured, twisted surface that shines in the light.

Kate's high street accessory perfectly complemented the bright blue dress she wore in the clip, and it looks like the versatile earrings are quickly becoming one of her go-to pieces.

Accessorize also told us that Kate has worn the earrings for numerous video appearances over the last few weeks...

Most recently, Kate wore the bargain buy for a video call with Prince William to volunteers across the UK, while marking Volunteers' Week.

It's safe to say that the Duchess has inspired us to shop. We'll race you to the checkout, as anything she wears is bound to sell out fast...
