Kate Moss' first ever modelling shot has been revealed.

The black-and-white image of the British supermodel shows Kate back in 1988 aged just 14, at the beginning of her rise to super-stardom.

Showing off the unwavering stare and high cheekbones that have made her one of the world's most recognisable faces, the Croydon-born star looks fresh-faced as she poses without any make-up and her hair pulled off her face.

The picture, captured by David Ross, is thought to be the first-ever professional shot of the model - after she was talent-spotted at an airport.

It's expected to fetch up to £1,200 when it's auctioned off at Bloomsbury's in Mayfair on November, 23.

Speaking about the sitting, photographer David Ross praised Kate's "cool character."

He said: "She seemed like a tough or resilient tough teenager, comfortably fronting me up, perhaps covering up her nerves.

"She was a cool character."

The image is one of three shots of Kate from her first sitting up for sale this week.

The supermodel was famously talent scouted at an airport in 1988, as she waited to board a flight back to London from New York.
