For her latest appearance at the 2021 Earthshot Prize awards, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (AKA Kate Middleton) re-wore one of her most memorable red carpet looks: a lilac Alexander McQueen dress, previously worn in 2011.

Now, this specific dress is, hands down, one of my all-time favourite Kate Middleton outfits, so I couldn't be happier that she's decided to wear it again. The look, created by one of the royal's favourite designer houses – the Duchess' wedding dress was famously created by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen – features a wide boat neck collar before the dress falls elegantly to the floor, cinched at the waist with an ornate belt.

Kate finished the look with a pair of jewel-drop earrings and a bouncy blow-out sitting in front of one shoulder:

Erm, can we also take a second to talk about how sharp Prince William's outfit is too? The emerald green velvet blazer layered over a black turtleneck is such a vibe and a very far-shun one at that. The Prince completed his 'fit with a pair of smart black trousers and dress shoes. But yes, sorry, I digress. Back to Kate's look.

Here's a closer pic of Kate's dress, and check out the contrasting detailing around the waist:

By now, you might be trying to pinpoint exactly where Kate last wore this dress. The year was 2011, and (then) newlywed couple stepped out together at the 2011 BAFTA Brits to Watch event in Los Angeles, with Kate repping the exact same dress:

Remember this? Ah, I'm still obsessed.

Interestingly, the original waist belt appears to be lighter and more minimalist, suggesting that the Duchess' dress might've been given a subtle update for its most recent outing.
