According to The Sun, royal etiquette expert Myka Meier (who trained under a member of the Queen’s Royal Household) says the key to the Duchess' faultless appearances is special undergarments.
The Beaumont Etiquette founder took to Instagram to share the royal wardrobe tip with her 63,000+ followers, claiming that the must-have piece in Kate's closet was a strapless, seamless body suit.
Posting a photo of the Duchess at Royal Ascot in 2019 in an exquisite cornflower blue Elie Saab dress, she commented: 'Royal Style Hack Alert!🚨Ever wonder why you never see bra straps?! 👸Swipe to see a secret trick which is a must-have royal wardrobe piece!😘,' accompanied by an image of a neutral body suit.
Speaking to the publication, Myka explains, 'underwear and bras are considered private intimate wear, and for royals to put intimate apparel on display would simply not be done.'
After all, who could forget the ridiculous fuss caused when the Meghan Markle flashed a tiny bit of her bra during a friends 2018 wedding?
To avoid such 'faux pas', the royals have a few different solutions. 'One option being a bra that is actually sewn into the piece,' Myka notes, 'a second option is strapless shape wear, which is a one piece that either snaps at the bottom or has legs attached.'
This allows the focus to be on the the Duchess and the purpose of her outing, as any hint of an undergarment or Spanx might detract.
