Kate Middleton stepped out for a visit to the V&A Museum in London on Thursday (2 December) morning to view its new exhibition, Fabergé in London: Romance to Revolution.

During the visit, the Duchess of Cambridge – who is royal patron of the V&A and studied Art History at university – spent time examining the prized creations of Carl Fabergé, including the long-lost Third Imperial Egg, which was rediscovered in 2011 after going missing in the 1960s.

Kate looked suitably festive for the occasion, choosing a stunning jewel-toned paisley print shirt by Ralph Lauren. The £139 Paisley Georgette Tie-Neck Shirt boasts a rich colour palette of red, navy and green that feels perfect for right now, chic tie neck detailing and on-trend blouson sleeves.

It's still available to order online in a number of sizes, but is bound to sell out now that the duchess has worn it, so we'd recommend getting in there early.

The royal paired the printed shirt with simple black trousers, accessorised with a black and gold buckle belt, and wore her highlighted dark hair up in an elegant ponytail, which showed off a chic pair of gold hoop earrings. Kate also wore a black face mask during the visit.

We can next expect to see the Duchess of Cambridge at a special carol concert she will be hosting at Westminster Abbey next week.
