Kate Middleton wears Princess Diana's favourite earrings to Queen's garden party
The Duchess of Cambridge is having a busy week.
Having spent the last few days giving the royal family a sneak peek at her Back to Nature Garden, which the Duchess created with landscape architects Andrée Davies and Adam White for this year's RHS Chelsea Flower Show, the mum-of-three made a surprise appearance at the Queen's annual garden party at Buckingham Palace.
Standing out in pastel pink, Kate donned a new Alexander McQueen double-breasted coat dress with pleated skirt.
The outfit was perfectly paired with a matching fascinator by Juliette Botterill and a Loeffler Randall clutch bag. However, it was her earrings that caught our attention.
The diamond and pearl drop earrings from Collingwood jewellers once belonged to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.
The earrings became one of Diana's more iconic jewels, which were worn on her wedding day as part of her going away outfit, with the famous 'Elvis gown' in Hong Kong in 1989 and for her first outing after the Prince of Wales confessed adultery with Camilla Parker-Bowles in 1994.
This isn't the first time that Kate has been seen in the recognisable earrings.
The Duchess first debuted the Collingwood Pearl Earrings in 2017, and once again in 2018 at the Spanish State Banquet, along with Diana's matching Lover's Knot tiara.
