It can't be easy for Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, to do much without being recognised these days – especially when she has her royal offspring in tow. But, according to new reports, it seems the wife of our future king recently managed to slip in a very discreet half term trip to London with her two eldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
Their day out of choice? A visit to the Imperial War Museum, no less. An inside source reportedly told The Daily Mail that while there, barely anybody batted an eyelid in Kate's direction. Seriously!?
"Kate took him [George] and Charlotte there, very much as members of the public," a museum "mole" is believed to have said, before adding that George "looked on in awe at the military hardware". Well, let's be honest, he was never going to be your average seven-year-old, was he?
So far, Buckingham Palace have declined to comment on the family's visit to the museum, but if reports are to be believed, it seems little George is "impressively knowledgeable about World War II" too. Maybe his former soldier uncle, Prince Harry, has been giving him history lessons over Zoom?
In other news, the family have now left Anmer Hall, their country home in Norfolk, where they stayed for the duration of lockdown, and relocated back to Kensington Palace (roughly 4 miles away from the museum, FYI). Although they're currently on a half term break, George and Charlotte have been busy getting stuck back into school life, as their parents have resumed in-person royal visits.
Recently, William and Kate dropped in to a famous London bagel shop to learn more about baking (something we already know the family are big fans of). The Duke of Cambridge was also spotted having a nosy through the window of a KFC.
Across the pond, William's brother, Harry, and his wife Meghan Markle, have been stepping up the number of interviews their doing, having appeared on podcasts and the TIME 100 list of late. They've also signed a major deal with Netflix, so are keeping equally as busy in spite of the ongoing pandemic.
