To mark International Women's Day earlier this week, the Duchess of Cambridge caught up with Jasmine Harrison who, last month, became the youngest woman to solo row the Atlantic.

For the virtual engagement, Kate wore a spring-inspired look consisting of a pink pussy-bow blouse from Boden (which is now sold out in the Duchess' pink colourway but is still available to shop in blue). But it's Kate's earrings that could be symbolic.

The earrings, designed by high street brand Missoma, consist of gold hoops and pink Rhodochrosite crystals which, the brand says, are associated with certain healing qualities.

"These mini hoops feature a pink heart-based healing crystal that radiates love, compassion and all-around good vibes, suspended from a texture gold vermeil hoop with pyramid detailing," reads the Missoma product description.

"Known as the Stone of the Compassionate Heart, Rhodochrosite symbolises selfless love, moving one beyond mere empathy but stirring one to action on others’ behalf," explains Crystal Vault.

"By empowering one to earnestly examine old wounds, suppressed feelings, and traumas of childhood or past lives, it enables one to view old situations with new information, and allows one to acknowledge and release pain, along with destructive patterns of behaviour one may have adopted as a means to cope."

This isn't the first time Kate's worn the Missoma earrings, sporting the accessory multiple times over the last few months. Here's the Duchess wearing the drop earrings back in February during Children's Mental Health Week:

The Duchess' chat with Jasmine Harrison was released on International Women's Day, the same day as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.
