The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived in rainy Blackpool this afternoon to visit projects that are focused on investment and regeneration in the seaside town. The trip started at the iconic Blackpool Tower, where the royal couple met members of the public and attended a roundtable discussion to find out more about the resort's history.

Kate wrapped up in an olive green Sportmax coat, per WhatKateWore, worn over a brighter Michael Kors dress. She carried a small bag from Manu Atelier and added a black scarf, plus suede boots.

Later, the Duke and Duchess will spend time at Blackpool Central Library to join discussions focusing on their charitable interests. Kate will continue her work on early childhood by meeting health visitors, parents and practitioners from the Family Nurse Partnership. William will meet people affected by problems around mental health.

For their final stop of the day, the couple will spend time in Revoe Park, which has recently been transformed into a garden for the local community.

Their trip comes a day after the royal family reunited to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Prince Charles' investiture as the Prince of Wales. Kate was as chic as ever donning a mint dress, nude heels, a pearlescent clutch, with her hair in her signature bouncy waves.
