The Duchess of Cambridge made a statement in a bright fuchsia coat and matching roll neck jumper as she visited Nower Hill High School in Harrow on Wednesday afternoon (24 November).
Kate's immaculately tailored coat reportedly hails from Hobbs, and we're pleased to reveal that it's currently in the retailer's Black Friday sale. With its streamlined silhouette and contrast black button detailing, the Tilda Wool Coat is a real classic, and also comes in a deep ochre shade. It's currently reduced to £224.25, down from £299.
Its timeless style means you'll dig it out year after year, plus it's made from naturally warm and biodegradable brushed wool fabric, which is kinder on the planet, with a recycled polyester lining to help reduce landfill.
The duchess teamed the coat and coordinating roll neck with a pair of black cigarette trousers and navy courts, while her highlighted hair was styled down in elegant waves.
The roll neck is also thought to hail from Hobbs, and is currently priced at £56.25, down from £75, in the Black Friday sale. Made from Merino wool, the Lara jumper has a timeless rib design and pretty gold button detailing to the sleeves. It would look chic teamed with a pair of high-waisted jeans.
During Kate's visit to the north London school, she interacted with pupils as she joined a science lesson studying neuroscience and the importance of early childhood development. The duchess launched The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood this summer, which aims to drive awareness of and action on the extraordinary impact of the early years.
Through her foundation, Kate is aiming to highlight how what we experience in early childhood shapes the developing brain, which is why positive physical, emotional and cognitive development during this period is so crucial.
Over the last nine years, the duchess has spent time looking into how experiences in early childhood are often the root cause of today’s hardest social challenges, such as addiction, family breakdown, poor mental health, suicide and homelessness.
