Kate Middleton joined Prince William and other senior royals, including Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, at the Festival of Remembrance on Saturday (13 November) evening.

The annual event, hosted by the Royal British Legion, takes place at the Royal Albert Hall in London in order to commemorate all those who have served and sacrificed for both Britain and the Commonwealth.

This year's Festival marks 100 years since collective national remembrance traditions were first brought together, so it's particularly poignant.

The Duchess of Cambridge wore an elegant black bouclé midi dress with statement button detailing for the occasion, as well as a special poppy pin, in honour of the occasion, while Prince William chose a navy suit with a traditional poppy on his jacket.

On Sunday (14 November), the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and other members of the royal family will attend the annual Remembrance Day Service at the Cenotaph in London's Whitehall, alongside Her Majesty The Queen.

The Festival of Remembrance airs on BBC One at 9pm on Saturday, 13 November.
