Kate Middleton shares rare warning to royal fans ahead of King's coronation

Kate Middleton – and the whole Royal Family, for that matter – are busy preparing for King Charles III's coronation this weekend. As well as rehearsing for their important roles, some senior royals have also been getting out and about around London to see how locals are celebrating the historic event.

And it was during one surprise outing yesterday that the Princess of Wales shared a warning to royal fans hoping to mark the special occasion.

ICYMI, Kate and Prince William pretty much broke the internet on Thursday 4 May when they took the tube – yes, the actual tube! – into central London and then headed to a pub to pull some pints. There's a sentence we never thought we'd say.

During the visit, the Princess got talking to royal fans who'd gathered to say hello, and admitted she's feeling "slightly nervous" for the big day.

In part, that's due to the pretty rubbish weather that's forecast over the bank holiday weekend (typical Britain!), which Kate herself shared a warning to fans about. "I was just saying, make sure you find an umbrella because it might rain over the weekend," she told one spectator, adding: "Only in the best of British way."

Elsewhere, the Prince and Princess spoke to TfL workers about how they're all facing a busy weekend. "It's going to be a busy time," she said, before adding: "[But] we're getting there. I still feel like we're trying to get [our] ducks in a row."
