Kate Middleton and Prince William's Friends Are "Baffled" by Her Missing Ring in Pic
Before everyone noticed the blatant photoshop on Kate Middleton's Mother's Day picture, the internet was briefly occupied by the fact that Kate's wedding ring was missing from the shot. And apparently even their friends were shocked.
An anonymous acquaintance of The Prince and Princess of Wales spoke to the Daily Beast about Kate's missing ring, saying their friend group was “completely baffled” that the couple would drop this pic when it would be obviously get people talking.
“They are often seen together at school events, and really it is remarkable how one and often both of them will always be at every match, every music concert and every prize giving," the friend said. "The relationship has always seemed incredibly strong despite the immense pressure they are under, so it’s fair to say we were all completely baffled when the picture came out with the wedding ring missing, especially as it was photoshopped. It just seemed guaranteed to get people asking questions about the state of the marriage.”
The Daily Beast notes that Kate's missing ring has sparked concern over in England, with columnist Sarah Vine writing in the Daily Mail that the "concerning" lack of ring seemed “deliberate, a statement in its own right. If it’s not there, could that be because she doesn’t want it there? It doesn’t bear thinking about.”
